Anyone who has solar, and also time of day rates could use this as energy storage, instead of returning that power to the grid at only two cents per kilowatt hour compensation. I would want it to adjust the power delivered to the car so that only the excess power is absorbed at my residence.  There should also be a remote disable feature to  allow the car to draw its maximum charging power at the owners request.
